1988 12. with the consent of the people's government of Zhejiang province, the first natural science foundation Committee of Zhejiang province was established. At that time, the provincial government allocated 2 million yuan to set up Zhejiang Natural Science Fund, which was one of the earliest local natural science funds in China.
