My point of view: It is impossible and will not happen. Taxpayers’ money needs to be used effectively! It cannot be used to rescue stray cats and dogs!
Why are there so many stray cats and dogs in the city? Many people who like cats and dogs just throw them away after buying them because they have no way to keep them. If there weren't so many abandoned cats and dogs, would there still be so many stray cats and dogs?
This is obviously impossible. Do your job well. If you like it, don’t abandon it. But for stray cats and dogs on the street, use taxpayers’ money to rescue them?
To put it simply! There are many places where we need money, such as public transportation facilities, roads and bridges! Support for impoverished mountainous areas, spending on education, and our own strong foundation! There is simply no extra money to save these stray cats and dogs.
In fact, the current treatment of stray cats and dogs has occupied and consumed some unnecessary resources. Now some stray dogs on the street are in an unstable situation and pose a threat to children or pedestrians. Therefore, sometimes catching stray dogs is also an act of occupying resources.
Sent to the rescue station? There will only be more and more stray cats and dogs, and there is simply no way to save them. Why are there more and more? It’s not just that you abandon it soon after you buy it, people who don’t like it won’t buy it, and people who like it don’t keep it after buying it. What does it mean to mention this now? It's unacceptable to occupy public resources. There are too many places where we need to put money to practical use.
If caring people have this idea, then please use your own money for rescue, whether it is setting up a charity fund or setting up a cat and dog rescue center yourself, no one will say anything about this!
It is basically impossible to use taxpayers’ money. Of course, if caring people can add an additional relief tax on top of their own taxes, this is also possible, but when it comes to using other taxes If you want to use people's money to do this "public welfare activity", then I want to say that there are many more meaningful things waiting for you to do!
If you want to reduce the number of stray cats and dogs, just control them from the source. Not abandoning them is the best way to control them. If you buy them, abandon them, and then spend public resources to help, this makes People can't accept it anymore.
