Is it cost-effective to buy a money fund on Friday?
At present, the vast majority of money funds calculate their income from the date of T+ 1, and T+2 arrives at the account on this day. For example, if you buy a money fund today, there will be no income today. The fastest income will be calculated from tomorrow, and it will arrive the day after tomorrow. The same is true for selling money funds.

For operations before 1. today and after 15:00, the confirmation and arrival time of income are different.

For example:

Buy the goods base before Wednesday 15:00, then the money will generate income from Thursday and arrive on Friday;

Buy after Wednesday 15:00, which is equivalent to buying on Thursday. It will generate revenue from Friday and arrive on Saturday.

To put it simply: usually the fund takes 15:00 as the watershed. Buying before 15:00 is counted as the transaction of the day, and buying after 15:00 is counted as the transaction of the next day.

2. There is no income from buying funds on weekends.

This is because the income from purchasing funds is calculated according to working days. According to the above example, if you buy a money fund today, you will start making money tomorrow, but if this "tomorrow" happens to be a weekend, you can't start paying interest immediately, but you can't calculate the income until next Monday (that is, the next working day).

The start date and arrival date of the money from purchasing goods at different times are as follows:

As can be seen from the above table, buying a fund after Friday 15:00 or buying it on Saturday and Sunday has the same effect as buying it on Monday.
