What is the social assistance fund for road traffic accidents and under what circumstances can I apply?
The social assistance fund for road traffic accidents (hereinafter referred to as the "assistance fund") refers to the social special fund raised according to law to advance the funeral expenses and part or all of the rescue expenses of the victims in motor vehicle road traffic accidents. This system is a supplement to the compulsory insurance system for motor vehicle traffic accidents (hereinafter referred to as "compulsory insurance"). The purpose is to ensure that victims can get timely assistance or appropriate compensation through the rescue fund when they can't get compensation according to the compulsory insurance system and the infringer. Under any of the following circumstances, the rescue fund shall advance the funeral expenses and part or all of the rescue expenses of the victims of road traffic accidents: (1) the rescue expenses exceed the liability limit of compulsory insurance; (two) the motor vehicle did not participate in compulsory insurance; (3) A motor vehicle escapes after an accident. So there are no certain restrictions.
