China Children's Center Niu Lao Children's Discovery Hall (hereinafter referred to as Discovery Hall) is located in China Children's Center Park. China Children's Center, Lao Niu Foundation and China Public Welfare Research Institute of Beijing Normal University are the first public welfare children's discovery museums in China, which integrate the educational concept and operation mode of international advanced children's museums.
The Discovery Museum was rebuilt on the basis of the Science Palace of China Children's Center. Lao Niu Foundation donated 4 1.83 million yuan, and China Children's Center strived for more than 20 million yuan. The scale of project construction funds exceeds 60 million yuan. The venue is designed by American JRA, manufactured and installed by PSI, LUCKEY and BOSS. The whole construction process of the venue has received professional support from the Hawaii Children's Exploration Center of the United States and the China Children's Museum Research Center of China Public Welfare Research Institute of Beijing Normal University.
The Discovery Pavilion has a total construction area of about 2,400 square meters and an exhibition area of about 1.800 square meters. According to the theme of the activity, the Discovery Hall is divided into seven exhibition halls: City Square, Happy Market, Busy Town, Sunshine Valley, Science World, Theme Space and 4D Cinema. The design of the exhibition area runs through the elements of the traditional Chinese zodiac in China.
The Discovery Hall is mainly open to children aged 0-7. It follows the educational concept of "learning by doing and playing with learning", advocates parent-child interaction, and advocates children's free activities, independent participation, self-exploration and hands-on thinking. It provides children with an environment and opportunities for full-sensory learning, allowing them to let go of their hands and feet to touch real things, know the world, experience feelings and grow up happily, thus promoting the all-round and harmonious development of children's body and mind and cultivating children's happy and healthy personality.
: Introduction to Discovery Hall
1. This library is open to children and parents aged 0-7. In order to ensure the safety of children, children must be accompanied by adults over 18. Adults are not allowed to enter the library alone.
2. Considering the safety and comfort of children and the exploration experience of parents, when the carrying capacity of the venue reaches the maximum crowd flow, a temporary flow restriction plan will be launched to slow down the speed of ticket sales and admission.
Please put on diapers for children aged 0-3 before entering.
There is a locker in the museum. Please take valuables with you.
Please store the stroller in the designated area.
6. In order to ensure the sanitation of the exhibition area, if you bring drinks and food into the museum, please enjoy them in the designated area of the venue.
7. Please take off your shoes and enter the baby's toddler area and climbing area.
