The exhibition is jointly organized by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, China Friendship and Peaceful Development Foundation, China International Friendship Association, China Calligraphers Association, China Collectors Association, China Old People's Calligraphy and Painting Research Association, China Youth Calligraphy and Painting Association and China Calligraphy Research Institute. Since the establishment of 1987, it has been held for 28 consecutive sessions, which has received strong support from all walks of life and positive response from painters and painters at home and abroad.

Famous Chinese and foreign painters, critics, scholars and art collectors are invited as judges for each exhibition, and several gold, silver, bronze and merit awards are selected. The exhibition not only shows the exquisite skills and creative styles of Chinese and foreign painting and calligraphy artists, but also makes positive contributions to promoting cultural exchanges and friendly exchanges between China and foreign countries.
