Honorary awards
The National Scholarship for Outstanding Self-funded Overseas Students is an honorary award, which aims to commend self-funded overseas students who have made outstanding achievements in their studies. Every year, 500 scholarship places are established, and the bonus amount is as high as 6,000 US dollars. Those who are particularly outstanding can get as high as 1000 US dollars.
Application conditions
To apply for the national excellent scholarship for self-funded international students, certain conditions need to be met. Applicants must study for a doctorate abroad for more than one year, be under 40 years old and hold a valid passport of the People's Republic of China. However, those who have won a scholarship, enjoyed or are enjoying the support of the National Fund for Studying Abroad, obtained the first doctoral degree at home and abroad, and passed the doctoral thesis defense before August 20 13 are not included in the application.
Application process
The process of applying for the national outstanding self-funded international student scholarship is very simple. Applicants only need to log in to the online registration system from August/KLOC-0 to September 30, fill out the Application Form for National Outstanding Self-funded International Scholarship as required, and submit relevant materials, including a copy of the passport home page, a recommendation letter from the tutor, a doctoral student registration certificate and a valid proof of attendance.
