Huajian Chau (December 22, 1960 -, English name: Emil Wakin Chau) is a famous Taiwanese singer-songwriter and musician. His ancestral home is Chaonan District, Shantou City, Guangdong Province, and he was born in Sai Ying Pun, British Hong Kong. He went to Taiwan to study in 1979 and joined Rolling Stone Records in 1986. He gradually grew into a superstar in the Chinese pop music scene in Taiwan and Asia. He has released more than 40 music albums with cumulative sales of tens of millions. In the early days of his debut, Zhou Huajian was called the "Sunshine Wanderer" because of his sunny, healthy, positive image and music style. Later, because of his strong singing skills and king-like popularity, he was awarded the title of "National Singer" and "King of the King". With a good reputation, he is one of the most influential Chinese singers in the 1990s.
