What the hell is Apache?
Apache is the name of a software foundation. When you say apache, you should mean Apache HTTP Server, which is Apache server. It is an open source server software managed by Apache Software Foundation, which can be understood as an application program on a computer. Simply put, its function is to turn your computer into a server, and let your computer open a specific network port to receive HTTP requests sent from the network to this machine, process the contents of the requests and make corresponding responses.
