From June 22 to 24, the seminar on community governance and community social work in the new era and the inaugural meeting of the community social work professional committee of China Social Work Society were successfully held in Jinan, Shandong Province, sponsored by shandong youth university of political science and China Social Work Society and co-organized by Shandong Social Work Association and Shandong Community Development and Social Work Research Center.

At the same time, the meeting held the unveiling ceremony for the establishment of the Community Social Work Professional Committee of China Social Work Society. Gao Jianguo, director of the Department of Social Work of School of Philosophy and Social Development of Shandong University and president of Shandong Social Work Association, is the chairman of the professional committee, Wang Yuxiang, president of shandong youth university of political science School of Politics and Public Administration and vice president of Shandong Social Work Association, is the executive vice chairman, Zhang Jian, vice president of shandong youth university of political science School of Politics and Public Administration and supervisor of Shandong Social Work Association, is the secretary general, and Gong Yanling of Huizhou Social Workers Association, Li Yue of Suzhou Social Workers Association and Xia Jincheng of Quanzhou Social Workers Association are the deputy secretaries general. The congress also reviewed and adopted the three-year action plan and annual work plan of the community social work professional Committee.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Wang Yuxiang, Dean of shandong youth university of political science School of Politics and Public Administration and Vice President of Shandong Social Work Association. More than 1 people from social work associations, representatives of community workers, university teachers and social work students from various provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) attended the meeting. Jiang Feng, deputy director of Shandong Social Organization Administration, Wang Zhen, section chief, Tian Zhimei, executive vice president of Shandong Social Work Association, and ieee fellow, vice president attended the meeting.

On the morning of 23rd, five experts and scholars in the field of community governance delivered keynote speeches around the main topics of this seminar. Chairman Zhao Pengqi started from the analysis of related concepts of community social work and put forward the basic principles of localization strategy of community social work. Director Liu Dongsheng expounded the forms and ideas of the development of community social work in China from four aspects: development status, development experience, development forms and development ideas, and put forward the development ideas of "One Fundamental Principle, Two Principles, Golden Triangle and Four Steps". Professor Gong Weibin reviewed and reflected on the achievements and challenges of community governance in China in the past 3 years from five aspects: concept, course, motivation, practice and experience, and put forward seven local experiences to promote community governance in China as a whole. Editor-in-chief Huang Xiaolin discusses the localization of community social work in China from the perspective of China traditional culture, and thinks that the fundamental way to promote the localization of community social work in China is to attach importance to the traditional values of China, promote the practice of community social work, adapt to the situation in China and strengthen the construction of talents. Professor Zhou Jianguo shared the construction of community center system in Vancouver, Canada, and emphasized the core position of basic service facilities such as community service center and community cultural center in community construction.

In the afternoon, social work associations in Huizhou, Suzhou, Chengdu, Quanzhou, Weifang and Shenzhen shared their respective advanced community service experiences and innovative development with representatives of community social work service agencies, such as the 6+1 project, the four-in-one model, the socialization of community service, the five-in-one mechanism, the six-in-one service model and the embedded development. Secretary-General Zou Xueyin presided over the discussion on the three-year action plan and annual work plan of the professional committee of community social work, and pointed out that the professional committee of community social work of China Social Work Society will be practice-oriented, carry out practical research, summarize the service models at home and abroad, and build a platform for community social work services by communication and linkage.

the success of this seminar will further enhance the experience summary and theoretical research of community governance and community social work in China, promote the process of community social work in China to help community governance, and also help practical community workers to grasp their functions and positioning more clearly, promote the development of social governance and services, and realize the prosperity and development of grassroots urban and rural communities.

The establishment of the Community Social Work Professional Committee of China Social Work Society marks a new starting point for standardized and scientific community governance innovation. Guided by the construction of community social work system, theoretical research and system construction, the Committee will formulate comprehensive and standardized community governance innovation standards, absorb advanced experiences from all over the country, unite all forces, effectively link community social work practice, talent training, scientific research and policy advocacy, play the role of a think tank, and promote the sustainability of grassroots community governance and community social work in the new era.
