In the Viennese Esperanto Museum, there stands a bronze bust of a young man from China: his back is straight and his eyes are far-sighted; When the bronze statue was first made, he was less than 30 years old, but it has attracted the attention of many prestigious foreign writers and called it "a new star shining in the East on the horizon of Chinese literary world".
This new star is Sue Armance.
Su Amang, (1936.11-1990.9), a native of Yangguang Township, huangshan district, has fallen into the bottom of the lake due to the renovation of Chencun Reservoir-Taiping Lake. His real name is Su Chengzong, and Amang is his pen name. He is a famous self-taught writer, poet and translator, and his success is a miracle in the field of literature. He was born in 1936. His parents lived in Tianjin when they were young. The teenager lost his father and lived a very difficult life with his mother. When he was in primary school, he liked reading very much. Mother gave him some small change. He never buys snacks, but saves up to buy books. All the books he has read are kept neatly. We know from many books that our motherland is a great ancient civilization with a glorious history, and we are determined to let the world know about China and China. To this end, he made special efforts to learn foreign languages.
From 65438 to 0954, Su 'amang graduated from middle school. He enthusiastically applied for the western department of the university. As a result, he didn't take the college entrance examination in Sun Shan for three consecutive years. The reason is that my father worked as a clerk in the old hospital for two years, and the political review was disqualified. He was very sad. In that era of "Factionalism", the gate of the university was inaccessible to Suamans. The mother looked at her son's collapsed eyes and really didn't know what to say. He is worried that his son will get sick and never recover.
But Su Mang after painful thinking. He decided to choose a road of self-study. In middle school, he was particularly interested in literature and foreign languages, and he learned English and Russian well. Now, in order to teach himself a foreign language, he sets strict demands on himself. Get up early every day and study late at night. In winter in the north, the cold is pressing and dripping into ice. He studies very hard, often forgets to eat, forgets to catch a cold, and the stove goes out. He doesn't care about these anymore. On the basis of continuing to improve English and Russian, he taught himself German and French. At this time, Sue mans family is poorer. He has no money to buy books. He stays in the library almost every day, munching on foreign language books one by one. Without a teacher, he looked for opportunities to talk with "foreigners".
By chance, Suamans met several Italians. He took the initiative to find you. Ask them to teach Italian. The couple were moved by his enthusiastic and studious spirit and accepted him as a student. Suamans clever memorization, coupled with hard study and hard practice, soon mastered Italian from language, grammar to rhetorical writing. 1957 wrote a review article in Italian, which was published in the Italian magazine The Seventh Day. This incident made him very excited to realize that a foreign language is a good tool. If you really master this tool, you can serve your country without going to college. Therefore, he taught himself Esperanto and other languages of more than a dozen countries by consulting dictionaries or comparing dictionaries of several countries or languages with each other.
Since then, he has written in more than 20 languages and published his works in more than 40 countries on five continents. He studied 265,438+0 languages, including English, French, German, Russian, Japanese, Italian, Spanish, Polish, Swedish, Czech, Portuguese, Danish, Norwegian and World Wide Web, and wrote and translated a large number of works in more than 20 foreign languages. His more than 300 lyric poems and narrative poems, such as I Love You, China, Before the Bronze Statue of Zhan Tianyou, Sister Liu and Butterfly Lovers, have been published in more than 20 languages in more than 50 countries around the world. Introduce Nie Er, Qu Yuan, Du Fu, Zhan Tianyou and other outstanding figures of the Chinese nation and places of interest around the world in the form of poems, and translate China folk stories and fables. His Esperanto works have attracted attention abroad, and he is called "a young and talented China Esperanto poet".
His study perseverance is amazing. I often forget to get a haircut, my hair grows almost shawl, and I often recite words to myself when I eat, walk and do things. He is crazy about foreign languages. Some people say that he is a "psycho", but he goes his own way regardless of the ridicule and sarcasm of others. Because it is too bitter and tired, the eyes are overused, the blood vessels in the fundus are broken, and the line of sight is blurred. After treatment, the condition just changed, and I got up early to learn to write in the dark, and the blood vessels in the fundus ruptured again. This has been repeated for several years, and the doctor sternly warned him: if you use your eyes too much, you will be blind forever! But how can he not study hard?
1957 Su Amang was admitted to esperanto association in the world. 1965 was invited by Japan to participate in a poetry competition and won the first prize in the world. All the money was donated to the Asia-Africa Foundation in esperanto association. 1966 was elected as the member of the Central Committee of the World Esperanto Youth Organization, and served as the representative of esperanto association in China, the director of the All-China esperanto association, the librarian of the International Esperanto Museum, and the special contributor of World Culture, the quarterly magazine of International World Language and Literature.
During the Cultural Revolution turmoil of 10, when right and wrong were reversed, so many letters and manuscripts sent abroad by Su Amang naturally became evidence of "contact with foreign countries". After criticizing the property, he was thrown into prison and sentenced to 15 years. While in prison, he still asked his mother to order the China Report magazine in esperanto and the New Reunion newspaper in Italian. His first request to the prison staff was to allow him to read foreign documents. A prisoner sarcastically said to him, "If you fall into this situation, learn this skill and be the translator in your dream!" " "But he wrote in a poem;" Poetry never gives in, no matter how much pain the poet will suffer, there is no paper, no pen, only incomparable anger! "In the whole prison life of 10 years and 4 months, the poet conceived forty or fifty poems with his agile thinking, and these works were deeply imprinted in his mind.
1978, the Tianjin Municipal Committee of China * * * determined that the Su Amang problem was an unjust case through investigation, and completely rehabilitated Su Amang on 1979 19. On April 29th, Guangming Daily introduced his story in the third edition, which caused a sensation. Overnight, armand became a household name in China. All kinds of social activities, interviews, interviews, meetings and speeches overwhelmed him, and this once-dark-cloud-shrouded new star of world literature and literature came to light again. Countless people at home and abroad are happy that his fate has improved. Australian Embassy in China telephoned condolences, British poetess bourdon sent coins, and Italian sinologist Dr. Adriano Maddolo personally visited. From August 27th to 3rd1,he attended the second national symposium on esperanto work in Beijing, then attended the fourth congress of China literary and art workers and the first meeting of the sixth committee of Tianjin Youth Federation, and became a director of the All-China esperanto association and a member of the Chinese Writers Association. Later, he was arranged to be an editor in Tianjin Baihua Literature and Art Publishing House.
Thanks to hard work, Suamans has made remarkable achievements. 1979, Italy published the Poems of China (Volumes I and II) written in Italian. 1982 published a collection of poems "Summer Elegy" in Esperanto. 1983 People's Literature Publishing House published a collection of Chinese poems, Jasminum giraldii.
Su Amang's success has been affirmed by literary circles at home and abroad. His spirit of perseverance, perseverance and self-improvement will always be an example and model for people to learn. Many newspapers and periodicals have introduced his self-taught deeds to inspire young scholars, and his name "Suamang" is a household name.
Su Amang ran away from home when he was young and had a rough life. After diligent self-study, he has made remarkable achievements and is famous at home and abroad. 1984, he returned to his hometown sick, and the villagers here made him feel particularly cordial. He wrote a poem: People who have tasted the bitter fruit of life,
Know the sweetness of honey best.
People who have experienced vicissitudes,
I feel the warmth of the party most.
Poets like to praise their hometown,
I love this land of Anhui.
It gave me my first life,
This is why I grew up.
After 1988, Suanmang was paralyzed, his condition deteriorated, and he lost the ability to walk, speak, write and type.
1990 In September, a poet of unparalleled talent died in Tianjin. He was only 54 years old this year, which was the golden autumn of his life and should have been a fruitful season.
According to his last wish, his ashes were buried in his hometown: shitai county (Yangguang Township later belonged to shitai county), and turned three kilometers northeast to the west slope of Yuankengkou, where Suamang, a multilingual poet who taught himself Esperanto, rested.
I love you, China.
There are many beautiful places in the world.
They often arouse my fantasies.
Ancient pyramids in Egypt
The mysterious night of freedom in Russia
Charming dusk on the Seine.
And the midnight sun in Norway
But I love you the most.
Beautiful China!
