Under the kind care and guidance of academicians Han Qide (vice chairman of the National People's Congress Standing Committee (NPCSC), chairman of China Association for Science and Technology, director of Peking University Health Science Center) and Wu Jieping (academician of China Academy of Sciences, academician of China Academy of Engineering, main founder of China urology), it took five years to complete the preparation and put it into use. It is the world's largest urology medical center integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, preventive health care and academic exchanges at home and abroad. It is the crystallization of medical development in China in the past century, and it is also the combination of medical cultural exchanges in the world.

The center is located in Beijing Shijingshan Scenic Area, covering an area of 65,660 square meters. It is a Class A designated unit of Beijing Medical Insurance and a joint training center for doctoral students in urology in Peking University. Professor Na, the chairman of urology branch of Chinese Medical Association, the chairman of urology branch of Beijing Medical Association and the editor-in-chief of Chinese Journal of Urology, is the director of the center. Since its establishment, the center has been concerned and supported by leaders at all levels and all walks of life. Vice Chairman Han Qide, the Ministry of Health and other leaders have visited the center many times, and urological leaders from the United States, Britain, Brazil, Japan, South Korea and other countries have all visited. At the same time, it has also attracted the attention of international urological organizations.
