Why can't the fund be fully redeemed?
When redeeming the fund, I found that my fund could not be redeemed in full, mainly in the following three situations:
1 The fund is in a closed period.
Funds can be divided into open-end funds and closed-end funds. If you choose a closed-end fund when you buy a fund, you can't redeem it when it is closed. You can only apply for redemption after the closure period is over. Public Offering of Fund, which operates in an open way, has been closed for some time.
2 Redemption amount exceeds the limit
If investors invest in open-end funds, the normal amount can be redeemed according to their own needs, but if it is a large redemption operation, it may be restricted. In this case, the redemption operation can only be taken in stages.
3 the exchange time is limited
If the fund is in the period of suspension of subscription and redemption, it cannot be fully redeemed, and it can only be fully redeemed when the subscription and redemption are reopened.
It should be noted that when investors apply for redemption, they only sell fund shares and do not sell redemption funds. The redemption share is often less than the redemption funds, which leads many investors to mistakenly think that the funds cannot be fully redeemed. Moreover, the partial redemption of the fund follows the principle of first in first out. If the part is less than 7 days, the redemption fee will still be charged at 1.5%.
To sum up, when fund investors find that they can't fully redeem during the redemption operation, they can see whether it is caused by the above reasons, and they must also consider it clearly before redeeming the fund, so as to avoid greater losses caused by improper redemption timing.
