Vestigial wasp, also known as Vestigidae, is a genus of Hymenoptera. The body color is bright, generally yellow and black, and the jaw is developed. The needle at the end of the abdomen is connected with the poison gland. There are tiger stripes on the body, so it is called "tiger-headed bee"

They feed on all kinds of insects, so they play a great role in controlling pests and diseases in nature. The living area of tiger bees is not wide, and the main distribution countries are Pakistan, South China and Indonesia. In China, it is mainly distributed in hills and low mountain areas below the altitude of1300m in Fujian and Guangdong provinces.

The habitat of the tiger-headed bee is not on the high mountain, but in the mountainous area below 1500 meters from the flat land. Some nest on branches, while others nest in caves. There are thousands of tiger bees in the small nest and tens of thousands of bees in the big nest.
