There is no administrative level for foundations in China.

China Medical and Health Care Development Foundation is a national social welfare organization established with the approval of the State Council.

The governing unit of the foundation is the National Health Commission of the People's Republic of China, and the registration authority is the Ministry of Civil Affairs. Its work is guided and supported by the State Food and Drug Administration and the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
