4. Studying for doctoral degree abroad: generally 36-48 months, depending on the academic system of the destination country and institution or the admission notice or invitation letter issued by the foreign party.

2. Sending projects

1. Senior research scholars, visiting scholars and postdoctoral programs sent by the state. The selected categories include senior research scholars, visiting scholars and postdoctoral fellows.

2. The state builds a high-level university graduate program. The selected categories include studying abroad for doctoral students and jointly cultivating doctoral students; The doctoral tutor's short-term exchange program abroad plans to send 5 people, and the category of sending them is senior research scholars.

3. Cooperation project between colleges and universities (study abroad for young backbone teachers). Selected categories include visiting scholars and postdoctoral fellows.

4. Research on international and regional issues, foreign language high-level talent training programs and government exchange scholarship programs. The selected categories include visiting scholars, postdoctoral fellows, overseas doctoral students, joint training of doctoral students, overseas postgraduate students for master's degrees, joint training of master's students, overseas undergraduate students for bachelor's degrees and undergraduate transfer students.

5. Special training program for artistic talents. The selected categories include visiting scholars, postdoctoral fellows, postgraduate students studying abroad for doctoral degrees, joint training of doctoral students, postgraduate students studying abroad for master's degrees, joint training of postgraduate students and undergraduate students.

6. Foreign cooperation projects. Foreign cooperation projects refer to projects that have signed agreements with foreign institutions and are jointly reviewed and funded by both Chinese and foreign parties, such as the Sino-US Fulbright Project, the Sino-British Joint Scholarship, the Sino-French Cai Yuanpei Exchange and Cooperation Project, and the short-term cooperation and exchange project between Chinese and German scholars.

Third, the application conditions

1. Love the socialist motherland, have good ideological and moral character and political quality, and have no record of violating laws and disciplines.

2. Have a good professional foundation and development potential, have outstanding performance in work and study, and have the dedication and sense of responsibility to return to China to serve the motherland.

3. Have the nationality of the Chinese people, and do not have permanent residency abroad. At the time of application, they should be the official staff or students of institutions of higher learning, enterprises and institutions, administrative organs and scientific research institutions, and have reached the age of 18.

4. Good health and mental health.

5. conform to? What are the conditions for the National Fund for Studying Abroad to finance foreign language study? And the language requirements of the countries and units studying abroad.

6. Meet other specific requirements of the application project.

7. Applications from the following persons will not be accepted for the time being:

(1) Full scholarship support from abroad has been obtained;

(2) It has obtained the national public study abroad qualification and is within the validity period;

(3) The admission results have not yet been announced for the declared state-sponsored study abroad program;

(4) He has obtained the qualification of studying abroad from the state, and abandoned it within 5 years without the approval of the National Scholarship Fund Committee, or abandoned it within 2 years with the approval of the National Scholarship Fund Committee;

(5) I have been sponsored by the National Fund for Studying Abroad, and my service after returning to China is less than five years. If the project has special provisions, it shall be implemented in accordance with relevant regulations.
