The latest regulations: Singapore's Ministry of Health stated on the afternoon of January 1 that a more contagious strain of the new coronavirus has been reported in South Africa. In order to reduce the risk of infection in Singapore, the Singapore government will implement border controls for South African travelers.
Starting from 11:59 pm on January 3, passengers with a history of traveling to South Africa 14 days before entry will be temporarily prohibited from entering or transferring.
As for Singapore citizens and permanent residents returning from South Africa, they will undergo nucleic acid testing upon arrival and be quarantined for 14 days.
Prior to this, arrivals with a history of traveling to South Africa in the past 14 days were required to quarantine in designated facilities for 14 days.
Non-Singapore citizens or permanent residents must also undergo a nucleic acid test 72 hours before departure and submit a negative test certificate before being allowed to enter.
Singapore Entry Process 1. Apply for an Air Pass According to the regulations of the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore, all passengers visiting Singapore for a short period of time need to apply for an Air Pass.
You can start applying 7-30 days before entering Singapore.
There is no fee to apply for an air pass, and the approval time is approximately 3 working days.
Each air pass is valid for 8 days and can only be used once.
There is no limit to the number of applications per person.
2. Apply for a Singapore visa Applicants can apply for a Singapore visa through designated institutions, Singapore consulates overseas or through sponsorship by local Singaporeans.
If you already have a Singapore travel visa and it is still valid, you do not need to apply again.
The specific number of days to stay in Singapore depends on the on-site issuance by the immigration officer. It is usually 30 days, but there are also 7/14/28 days.
3. Before entering Singapore, you need to make an entry declaration through the official website of the Singapore Immigration Bureau, and submit personal health information, the hotel where you will live after entry, and other information.
