The college has a number of high-level and modern teaching and research facilities, and the laboratory is equipped with first-class domestic and international advanced experimental instruments and equipment. In addition, the college also has more than 3 off-campus teaching and research practice bases and industrialization demonstration bases.

At present, the College is in charge of nearly 1 scientific research projects, such as the National Key Basic Research and Development Plan ("973" Plan), the National High-tech Research and Development Plan ("863" Plan), the National Twelfth Five-Year Science and Technology Support Plan, the National Natural Science Foundation's key and major international cooperation projects, and the forestry public welfare industry's special major projects, with funds exceeding 1 million yuan. Great achievements have been made in the fields of environmental protection processing of wood materials, furniture design, chemical processing of forest products, etc. In recent five years, 12 invention patents have been authorized, and more than 2 scientific research achievements have won awards such as the National Technological Invention Award, the Beijing Science and Technology Award and the Natural Science Award of the Ministry of Education.
