Li Liming) In the construction of Nanyang New District, Henan Oilfield chose geothermal heating. In order to find out the situation of geothermal resources in Nanyang New District, Henan Oilfield has accelerated the pace of geothermal resources evaluation and achieved phased results recently.

Researchers from the Geothermal Project Team of the Research Institute, who undertake the task of geothermal resources evaluation, have previously completed the project of "Study on Evaluation and Selection of Geothermal Resources in Nanxiang Basin and Its Neighboring Areas" of the Group Company, and realized the potential of medium and low temperature geothermal resources in this area.

The project "Exploration of Geothermal Resources in Nanyang New District" is a new project that the project team took over in June this year. After two months of intense work, the project team members completed the interpretation of the work area 1.800 square kilometers and the two-dimensional survey line interpretation of 1.040 square kilometers, analyzed the structural characteristics of the Neogene bottom and basement in Nanyang New Area, and completed the lithologic distribution of the basement.

The members of the project team preliminarily believe that deep faults are developed in the surrounding area of Nanyang, with shallow basement, abundant geothermal resources and high geothermal gradient, which can reach 4.2-4.3 degrees Celsius per 100 meters, and the thermal storage temperature at 1500 meters can reach 75 degrees Celsius. According to this research result, the researchers have drawn up a plan to deploy CSAMT (Controlled Source Audio Magnetotelluric Method) in Nanyang New Area in the next step, further implementing the lithologic fluid and fault distribution of the caprock and bedrock in this area, and providing a basis for the deployment of geothermal wells in the next step.
