Wu Jieping Prize in Medicine is a national medical and health industry award approved by People's Republic of China (PRC) and Ministry of Science and Technology and managed by Wu Jieping Medical Foundation. Awarded to individuals who have promoted the progress of medical science and technology in China and made outstanding contributions to the development of medical and health undertakings in China [1].

On June 20th, 2007, the launching ceremony of "Wu Jieping Prize in Medicine" sponsored by Wu Jieping Medical Foundation was held in the Great Hall of the People.

According to official website of Wu Jieping Medical Foundation, the Wu Jieping Prize in Medicine is awarded once a year, with no more than two winners each time. Up to February, 20 19, the Wu Jieping Prize in Medicine was selected 13 times (vacant for 20 10), among which 20 people won the prize [3].
