In recent years, the college's scientific research funding has grown rapidly, its level is high, its results are abundant, and its promotion effects are good, making it one of the fastest-growing colleges in Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics.

It has successively undertaken more than 30 national, provincial and ministerial level scientific research projects including the National “863” and Natural Science Foundation.

More than 40 scientific research projects have been identified and 3 patents have been obtained. Most of the projects have reached the international advanced level. It has won 1 third-class national scientific and technological progress award, 8 second-class provincial and ministerial-level scientific progress awards, and 10 third-class awards.

Among them, two results are key promotion projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and one result won the gold medal at the China High-tech and New Product Expo. It has also hatched a large number of applied technology achievements and developed nearly 30 new products with high-tech content.

He has published more than 1,000 papers in famous academic journals and conferences at home and abroad, including about 200 papers included in SCI, EI and Science Abstracts.

He has published more than 20 books and textbooks including "Encyclopedia of Composite Materials" and "Fundamentals of Composite Material Structural Design", which won the second prize of the National Science and Technology Book Award.
