Shanghai Stock Exchange [edit this paragraph] The full name of Shanghai Stock Exchange Index (SH1) is the Shanghai Stock Exchange Stock Price Composite Index, which was compiled by the Shanghai Stock Exchange and officially released on December 19th, 199. The sample of the stock index is all the stocks listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, and the newly listed stocks are included in the calculation range of the stock index 1 days after listing.

the weight of the stock index is the total share capital of the listed company. Because the stocks of listed companies in China are divided into tradable shares and non-tradable shares, their circulation is not consistent with the total share capital, so the stocks with larger total share capital have a greater impact on the stock index, and the Shanghai Composite Index sometimes becomes a tool for large institutions to create the market, which makes the trend of the stock index deviate from the rise and fall of most stocks.

The release of the stock index of Shanghai Stock Exchange is almost synchronous with the changes of the stock market, which is an indispensable reference for Chinese investors and securities practitioners to judge the trend of stock price changes.

The index, formerly known as Shanghai Jing 'an Index, was compiled by Jing 'an Securities Business Department of China Industrial and Commercial Bank Shanghai Branch Trust and Investment Company on November 2, 1987. The Shanghai Composite Index was compiled and published by the Shanghai Stock Exchange on July 15th, 1991, with December 19th, 199 as the base period and the base period value of 1. All listed stocks were taken as samples and the stock circulation was taken as the weight. The calculation formula is:

today's stock price index = today's total stock market value ÷ base period's total stock market value× 1

The specific calculation method is to multiply the stock closing price of the base period and the calculation date (if there is no transaction on that day, the closing price of the previous day will be extended) by the number of shares issued, and then add them to obtain the total stock market value of the base period and the calculation date, and then divide them to obtain the stock price index. In case of capital increase, share expansion or addition (deletion) of listed stocks, it must be revised accordingly, and its calculation formula is adjusted as follows:

today's stock price index = today's total stock market price ÷ new benchmark stock market price ×1

where: new benchmark stock market price = before correction × (before correction+before correction) ÷ stock market price. On the basis of this comprehensive index, Shanghai Stock Exchange has published the A-share index and B-share index respectively since February 1992, and officially published the stock price indexes of five categories: industry, commerce, real estate, public utilities and comprehensive since May 3, 1993.

total market value = ∑ (market value × number of shares issued)

Among them, the total market value of sampling stocks on the base day is also called divisor.
