In 20 13 years, the focus of rural medical security in China will shift to serious illness. 20 kinds of diseases such as lung cancer and gastric cancer are all included in the scope of serious illness protection, and the reimbursement rate is not less than 90%.

According to the previous policy, more than 8,000 yuan can be reimbursed for 65% of the cooperative medical care. Since the beginning of this year, the reimbursement rate has been greatly increased, with 65% from 8,000 yuan to 50,000 yuan, 80% from 50,000 yuan to 80,000 yuan, and 90% above 80,000 yuan.

Since the medical reform, while promoting the new rural cooperative medical system, the country is gradually shifting the focus of security to serious illness and leaning towards farmers with poor families. In addition to raising the reimbursement standard, all 20 diseases, such as lung cancer, gastric cancer and end-stage renal disease, will be included in the scope of serious illness protection, and farmers in need will receive an additional 15% of the civil medical assistance fund, so that the total reimbursement ratio will not be less than 90%.
