2005 China Charity Award

The conference issued the Guiding Outline for the Development of Philanthropy in China, and read out the Proposal for Self-discipline of Charitable Organizations and the Proposal for Corporate Social Responsibility. Social welfare demonstration project in 2006

On September 6th, the results of the first "Social Welfare Demonstration Project", the most authoritative, professional and largest public welfare project selection activity in China, were announced, and a grand commendation meeting was held in the Great Hall of the People. The Overseas Chinese Heart Project initiated by China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese and implemented by China Overseas Chinese Economic and Cultural Foundation won the "Top Ten Demonstration Projects Award" and "Partner Award", and China Overseas Chinese Economic and Cultural Foundation was commended as the implementing agency.

Zhou Tienong, Vice Chairman of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and Lin Shuniang, Vice Chairman of China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, attended and presented awards to the winners. After two years of preparation, with the support of the expert committee, the evaluation office of social welfare demonstration projects formulated the evaluation criteria for public welfare projects, and collected more than 200 public welfare projects nationwide, covering the fields of the elderly, children and women, culture, migrant workers, legal aid, environmental protection, public social development, etc., among which poverty alleviation, health and education accounted for the largest proportion, respectively 16.9.

This selection is mainly based on the scale, financial supervision, information transparency, cost efficiency, fund-raising ability and social participation of the participating public welfare projects, with reference to whether the projects are influential, typical and sustainable. The selection office first selected 50 short-listed projects from the collected projects, and then selected the "Top Ten Demonstration Projects" on this basis.

The first national four-level A foundation evaluation grade

In accordance with the provisions of the Implementation Measures for the Evaluation of National Non-governmental Organizations and the requirements of the Notice of the Ministry of Civil Affairs on Carrying out Foundation Evaluation, and following the comprehensive evaluation mechanism of non-governmental organizations with "government guidance, social participation and independent operation", the foundation evaluation registered with the Ministry of Civil Affairs was officially launched in June 2007. The foundation evaluation expert group and evaluation committee, which are composed of relevant government departments, research institutions, law firms, accounting firms and foundation leaders, comprehensively evaluate the basic situation, internal governance, work performance and social evaluation of the foundation according to the evaluation indicators and evaluation procedures of the foundation. After the initial evaluation by the foundation evaluation expert group and the final evaluation by the evaluation Committee, the evaluation results were announced on February 28, 2008. This time, 69 foundations obtained the evaluation results, among which 6 foundations were rated as 5A, 13 as 4A, 19 as 3A, 14 as 2A, 10 as 0A, and 7 foundations were not rated.
