Jieqing is a young talent program established by China Association for Science and Technology 1994, aiming at cultivating a group of outstanding young scientists with potential and providing talent guarantee for the development of national science and technology. Generally, they are under 45 years old. On July 6, 2023, the party group of the National Natural Science Foundation of China held a meeting to make it clear that from 2024, the age limit for female researchers to apply for the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars will be relaxed from 45 to 48.
