What are the green and low-carbon energy index funds?
At present, the international green indexes mainly include: Standard & Poor's Global Clean Energy Index (including the stocks of 30 major clean energy companies in the world), Nasdaq American Clean Energy Index (tracking the performance of more than 50 clean energy companies listed in the United States) and FTSE Japan Green 35 Index (Japanese companies with environmental protection-related businesses). Each major index has correspondingly spawned a fund that tracks the index. In addition, the characteristic indexes and funds also include: Deutsche Bank x-trackers Standard & Poor's American Carbon Emission Reduction Fund, Barclays Bank Global Carbon Index Fund (a fund linked to the carbon credit trading of the world's major greenhouse gas emission reduction trading systems) and so on. China started late in this field. At present, some fund products have appeared in the A-share market, such as the A-share Guo Fu Low-carbon Environmental Protection Fund and China Shipping Environmental Protection New Energy Fund, but the scale is not large, and their investment is not strictly limited to the scope of environmental protection theme.
