Brief Preface of Epistemology in Vernacular Language
Know-only theory is the basic theory of China's know-only theory of law.
The only known sect in China originated from Indian yoga schools. According to Buddhist scriptures, Buddha Sakyamuni died 900 years ago and no writer was born. He lived in Gupta Dynasty (320 | 500) in India. He was born in Loushafucheng, a rich country in Kendra, northern India. His father's name is Yan Shujia and he is a Buddhist teacher. He has three sons, but he is a poor man and a young teacher. No one in the Hinayana Buddhist Department became a monk. Legend has it that he can't get in because of his empty mind. He tried to kill himself. Later, he wanted to meet the guest-headed arhat and talk about Hinayana. He knew Hinayana for the first time, but he was still not satisfied. It is said that Maitreya Buddha and Bodhisattva in the inner court of Tiangong Dou should be invited without writing. In China's Ayurveda, there are five major theories, namely, the yogi's theory of land, the theory of yoga separation, the Mahayana's solemn theory, the theory of debating China's boundaries, and the Vajrayana Prajna theory, all of which are publicized by the public. This case is mainly based on the theory of the yogi, so people later called it Yoga School.
My half-brother, Brahma, transliterated as Popandou, said everything was a monk, and he learned and learned all over the world. It is said that in order to choose Abidharma's theory, he once disguised himself anonymously and went to Kashmiro, an academic center with ministries and commissions, to study the teachings of ministries and commissions for four years. Later, he returned to Francois shaff and criticized the ministries with the teachings of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. And while talking and writing, the book is "Abifa Mo Lun". When this theory came out, it was controversial, but it was unbreakable. When Qin preached Hinayana and concealed Mahayana in northern India, his brother was unsympathetic, so he lured him to see it despite his illness and ordered his disciples to read Ten Places of Huayan Sutra in the adjacent room. Only when Qin heard about it did he know his brother's painstaking efforts. He deeply regrets the mistake of slandering Mahayana in the past and wants to cut his tongue to apologize. Wu said to him, "You used to slander Mahayana with your tongue, but now why don't you praise Mahayana with your tongue?" In this way, the home is to abandon the small into the big, and create the classics widely, such as Taking the Mahayana Interpretation, Distinguishing the Middle Road Interpretation, Zhi Zhi's Twenty Treatises, Zhi Zhi's Thirty Odes, Mahayana's Five Meanings and Zhi Zhi's Theory of All Ways.
Among the works written by relatives around the world, especially the volume of Thirty Only Knows is a great achievement of the theory of only knowing. It turns out that the theory of person design in ancient India is to write a eulogy first, summarize the essence of the book, and then interpret it according to the eulogy, which is called long line, and the long line is the text of the book. The book "Only Know Thirty Odes" is a masterpiece of relatives all over the world in their later years. At this time, the theory of yoga has become the mainstream of Mahayana Buddhism, and there are many researchers. In the hundred years after his death, many scholars competed to interpret thirty poems, of which ten were the most famous and later called the top ten theorists. The names of the top ten theorists are Pro-Victory, Fire Discrimination, Dehui, Anhui, Nanduo, Jingyue, Guardian, Shengyou, Son, Zhiyue and others.
The only known sect in China was founded by two masters, Xuanzang and Kui Ji, in the Tang Dynasty. Emperor Taizong spent three years in Zhenguan, crossed quicksand to the west in Genjyo Sanzo and traveled for 17 years in Wuyin. He studied in Nalanda Monastery in central India for two years, The Yoga Master's Theory of Land and Ten Debates on Upanishads. After returning to China in the 19th year of Zhenguan, India brought back more than 650 Buddhist scriptures. After returning to China, he translated 75 classics, including 1300 volumes, some of which are the only system of Buddhist knowledge, such as Shen Jie Mi Jing, Yoga Master's Discussion on the Land, Mahayana Theory, Enlightenment, Mahayana Five Elements Theory, Baihuimen Guanyuan and Mahayana Theory. Among them, it is particularly worth mentioning that Cheng Wei's Theory of Knowledge has been translated into ten volumes of epistemology, including hundreds of explanations by ten great theorists. China is the only one who knows the basic theory of sects.
Kui Ji, a disciple of Master Xuanzang, was born in Chang 'an, Jingzhao, Tang Dynasty. He was the son of the founding minister and was born in Zhenguan for six years in the Tang Dynasty. He was smart and tall, and became a monk at the age of seventeen. He is a disciple of Xuanzang, who studied Buddhist scriptures and Tianzhu language according to Xuanzang's statement. At the age of twenty-five, he participated in the translation of classics. In his fourth year in Phoebe, Tang Gaozong, Xuanzang translated On Cheng Weizhi. The original plan was to translate all the explanations of the top ten theorists, and ordered Kui Ji, Shen Yun, Jia Shang and Pu Guang to undertake literature retrieval, pen acceptance and word meaning compilation respectively. A few days later, Kui Ji asked to quit, but Master Ling asked him why. Kui Ji said:' Teacher Ling Naili sent three sages, and Kui Ji wrote alone, translating ten volumes of On Cheng Weizhi. Therefore, although the ten volumes of "Heroes' Essays" are translated in rubbings, they are not new.
However, legal knowledge is an extremely difficult and complicated knowledge. Only by understanding Confucian classics can it be said that "writing is like a hook lock, meaning is like a chain"; It can also be said that' words cover thousands of religions, and words contain everything'. In the training of modern Chinese, don't say that you don't understand its meaning or even its sentences. In particular, Cheng Zhiyi's ten-volume theory is a treasure house of knowledge and understanding on the one hand; But on the other hand, it combines ten theories and criticizes many heresies and Hinayana theories. So when writing, it is like a branch on a branch, with leaves growing next to it. Walking along the branches and leaves, it is difficult to return to the original point. It is said that Xia Tonghe, the champion of the late Qing Dynasty, read the Theory of Society for the first time and claimed to watch flowers under the moon. Rereading the narrative of Cheng Wei-Zhi Lun is like falling into a fog, which shows that knowledge-only learning is a kind of knowledge that is' deep, subtle, difficult to achieve and extremely difficult to achieve'.
For more than ten years, the author has been impressed by Buddhist colleges and research institutes in the north and south, teaching a series of knowledge-only courses. However, when it comes to the theory of adult consciousness, it is found that some students regard this course as a fear of the road, and there are no reference books on the market to explain this theory (there are five sets of adult consciousness lectures, which are sold by the old master, and the price is more than 1000 yuan, which is beyond the affordability of ordinary students). In order to solve the students' difficulties in using books, the author hopes to translate this masterpiece in a simple and clear way and name it "Brief Notes on Vernacular Intellectualism". After two years of hard work, the translation was completed. I talked to two laymen, Jane and Lin of the Taipei Buddha Education Foundation. They think that this book can be printed by the foundation and generally become attached to others. This is the origin of this book.
The book "On Knowledge" is famous for being difficult to read, and there are many obscure places in it. It is inevitable that the author overreaches himself and translates words rashly and makes mistakes. He is still praying for the righteousness of the Fang family and has no sense of appointment.
In 20021February, Xu was in Taichung Memorial Hall.
Notes on terms of conciseness and epistemology
The first chapter is explanation and praise. It's hard to explain, and it's hard to break the insistence. The standard is to know and display variants.
(In order to praise, the first song goes to the first half of the second song)
The first chapter is about respecting, creating and explaining the reasons of desire.
Paper 1: I will explain the sincere and pure person, and I will explain it today.
Explanation: The ancient Indian man-made theory is to write a eulogy first, summarize the essence of the book, and then interpret it according to the eulogy. The name is Long Line, and Long Line is the text of the book. The book "Only Know Thirty Odes" was written by the Buddha in his later years. After the carol was finished, there was silence after the long journey. At that time, the theory of yoga had become the mainstream of Mahayana Buddhism. Many theorists have studied these thirty poems and explained them. The author swore to explain the meaning, so he paid tribute first.
Therefore, the eulogy of this interpretation is,' If you know something honestly, you will get full marks. Let me explain what he said today. Everything is affectionate.' This ode was not created by Buddha, but was later added by theorists such as Dharma Protector when explaining the Thirty Odes. What do these four eulogies of the cross mean? It means: to pay tribute to the omniscient dharma, to the perfect and pure Buddha, and to the diverse and pure bodhisattvas. I now explain that the "Thirty Odes to Knowledge" written by Bodhisattva Ai Shi is to bring benefits and happiness to all beings.
Paper 2: The purpose of doing this theory today is to solve problems for those who have misunderstandings about the second space; The delivery plan is a double obstacle. There are two obstacles, Dharma and me. If the evidence is empty, another obstacle will be broken. Breaking through obstacles is a win-win result. From intermittent troubles to obstacles, the truth comes out; When we break the obstacle, we know the obstacle, so we get the Great Bodhi.
Explanation: In the previous eulogy, it was said,' I want to explain what he said today, I am interested in music and all sentient beings'. The purpose of my interpretation of Thirty Odes to Knowledge is to bring benefits and happiness to all beings. Why is this happening? This is divided into three layers. One is for those who don't understand Falcon and me, so that they can have a correct understanding of Falcon. If you understand the truth, you can break the obstacles of worry and knowledge. If you can break two obstacles and prove two empty things, you can get two extremely satisfactory results-great nirvana and great bodhi-and you can really get rid of the troubles that make all beings live and die-great nirvana; If you remove the obstacles to correctly understanding things, you can prove the Great Bodhi. The above is the reason of the first theory. (Note: First, real liberation: getting rid of all bondage and troubles is a spiritual realm, that is, nirvana. Second, Great Bodhi, Bodhi is a transliteration of Sanskrit Bodhi, literally translated as consciousness. Great Bodhi is the fruit of Buddha-there is no equal consciousness, and it is called Great Bodhi for the sound and sense of Hinayana. )
Paper 3: for enlightenment: I know nothing about my dharma, and I am obsessed with knowledge; Make it empty, only know its truth, but know its truth.
Explanation: Secondly, the reason of the second argument: openness is to enlighten fallacies; Instructions are pointing out the truth. In the second space, there is no positive solution, such as the external path and quadratic multiplication, the self adhered to by the inner body and mind, and the external law, all of which are real and have their own nature. I didn't know that it was all achieved by my own knowledge. As the saying goes,' what I know depends on what I know', which is' a person who is ignorant of my law and obsessed with knowledge'. The purpose of this theory now is to give these people an inspiration and teach them to know the truth from the facts. ...
