What does carbon neutral ETF mean?

Carbon-neutral ETF refers to tracking the theme index of low-carbon economy in Chinese mainland, and selecting 50 low-carbon economy-related stocks with high daily average market value from Shanghai and Shenzhen A to form sample stocks. The index is generally composed of companies such as clean energy power generation, energy conversion and storage, cleaner production, consumption and waste disposal, so as to reflect the overall trend of stocks of such low-carbon economic companies. At present, there are about three indexes related to carbon neutrality in the market: true carbon neutrality, low-carbon environmental protection, new energy and sub-industries. What is the difference between carbon neutral ETF and new energy ETF?

The avoidance of carbon-neutral ETFs and new energy ETFs is mainly manifested in two aspects:

Carbon-neutral ETF: Tracking the theme index of low-carbon economy in China Securities, except for the constituent stocks whose turnover rate is in the top 90%, 65,438+00% of the constituent stocks in ESG score test will be excluded.

New Energy ETF: Track the full-day sample of CSI, and the constituent stocks are the stocks with the turnover rate of 90% in the past year.

Carbon-neutral ETF: mainly concentrated in two industries: deep low-carbon and high-carbon emission reduction, including low-carbon and energy-saving industries such as environmental protection, energy conservation and new energy vehicles, as well as traditional pioneers in energy conservation and emission reduction.

New energy ETF: The main investment industries are solar energy, geothermal energy, wind energy, ocean energy, biomass energy and nuclear fusion energy.
