Virtue helps unfortunate individuals and needy groups in society and carries out various social assistance works.

According to the constitution of the Federation, the highest authority of the Charity Federation is the Member Congress, which is held every five years. The Board of Directors is the executive body of the Member Congress and is held once a year.

The funds of the General Assembly come from membership dues, donations, government funding, interest, income from activities or services within the approved business scope and other legal income. The administrative funding comes from the added value of the founding fund, membership dues, special donations for administrative funds, government funding, and donations.

At present, the China Charity Federation has 108 group members and cooperates with most group members to carry out various charity projects.

According to a 2002 data, the federation has directly received a total of 980 million yuan in funds and materials over the past seven years since its establishment, including 540 million yuan in charity and 440 million yuan in donated materials.
