The Natural Science Foundation of China shall inspect, supervise and audit the project implementation and the use of funds by the project leaders and project supporting units. Depending on the seriousness of the case, the Natural Science Foundation of China takes measures such as slowing down the allocation of project funds, giving a written warning, informed criticism, stopping funding, recovering the allocated funds, canceling the funded projects, and stopping applying for qualifications.
