Wang Zeshan, born on October 10, 1935 in Jilin City, Jilin Province, is an expert in energetic materials, winner of the country’s highest science and technology award, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Chemical Engineering of Nanjing University of Science and Technology.

After graduating from the Harbin Military Engineering Institute in 1960, Wang Zeshan entered the Artillery Engineering Institute; joined the Communist Party of China in 1961; starting in 1962, he worked in the Artillery Engineering Institute, East China Institute of Technology, and Nanjing. Worked at Polytechnic University; in 1980, he served as the director of the Department of Chemical Engineering of East China Institute of Technology; in 1997, he received the Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation Science and Technology Progress Award; in 1999, he was elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.

Main scientific research achievements

Wang Zeshan systematically studied propellant and its charge theory, invented low-temperature sensing technology, improved launch efficiency, and made the launch power exceed the level of similar equipment in China and abroad. , researched and solved relevant theories and comprehensive processing technologies for the reuse of discarded fire and explosives, achieved resource reuse, improved safety, reduced public hazards, had obvious social and economic benefits, and invented a high-density gunpowder The charging technology has been promoted and applied.

In 1985, Wang Zeshan and his team began to carry out research on a large number of overdue reserves of explosives. In 1990, Wang Zeshan began to work on another difficult problem of explosives, "the low temperature sensation of energetic materials."
