For fund novices, knowledge is a must.
Fund is a convenient and low-threshold choice for young people who are keen on financial management at present, and more and more people are beginning to understand and buy funds. So, what knowledge points do novices have to know when buying funds?

These six points are the key for fund beginners to get started.

1 principle of fund rise and fall

The recent ups and downs of the fund really let everyone ride a roller coaster, especially Xiao Bai, who just entered the fund. I wonder if my whole heart is hanging in the air. So what is affecting the rise and fall of the fund?

Generally speaking, the essence of a fund is to concentrate everyone's money on the fund manager for financial management. Any investment is risky, and fund managers are no exception. The products they invest in may be profitable or lose money, which will lead to the rise and fall of the fund's income.

Many times we buy stock hybrid funds, and the stock ratio and fluctuation are relatively large, so the rise and fall of the fund mostly depends on the rise and fall of the stock portfolio.

2 Fund trading hours

Time: Monday to Friday 9: 30-1:30, 13:00- 15:00.

If you buy before 15:00, it will be calculated at the closing price of 15:00, and after 15:00, it will be calculated at the closing price of the second trading day. The operation of the day should be completed from 14: 30 to 15:00 to avoid diving. (Closed on weekends and legal holidays)

3 Fund purchase channels

Off-site: Alipay, WeChat, banks and other third-party platforms.

On-site: the application of securities companies

Advantages and disadvantages: Alipay and other third-party platforms are more convenient and faster, and the handling fee in the venue will be cheaper.

4 Fund transaction costs

Fund expenses include: subscription fee, subscription fee, management fee, custody fee, sales service fee, operation fee and redemption fee. When buying and selling funds, the most common expenses are: subscription fee or subscription fee, redemption fee. Other expenses are hidden expenses that are usually not noticed.

Fund subscription/subscription fee: stock/hybrid fund 1.5%, bond fund 0.8- 1.2%, Alipay 1%. Most banks don't give discounts (except front-end and back-end fees), and there are management fees, custody fees and even sales and service fees, which are 1-2 per year.

Fund redemption fee: 1.5% shall be deducted for holding for less than 7 days, and 0-0.75% for holding for more than 7 days.

How to choose 5A/B/C fund?

People often see the letter ABC after the fund name. What does this mean? In fact, this is mainly the charging method when purchasing funds.

A stands for front-end charges, including subscription fees and redemption fees;

B means back-end charge, no subscription fee, only redemption fee;

C means that neither subscription fee nor redemption fee is charged, and a certain percentage of sales service fee is charged every year. For long-term investment funds, I suggest you choose Class A, short-term investment and Class C. If you choose the wrong one, don't replace it. Not cost-effective!

6 Fund Net Value Update Time

Fund unit net value is the net asset value of each fund unit, and fund net value can be understood as the unit price of the fund. Its calculation formula is: fund unit net value = total assets net value/fund share.

The net value of the fund is generally updated by 9- 10 every night, which may be early or late. Except for Hong Kong stocks and US stock funds, it's 1 day late, and the holidays in Hong Kong and the United States are even later! I don't know the latest net value when I want to buy or sell, but I can refer to the net value estimation to judge!

Finally, I would like to remind you that if you want to invest or buy wealth management products, please study the relevant knowledge carefully and understand all kinds of investment products and their risks. Don't touch it if you don't understand! Blindly entering the market not only wastes time, but also makes you anxious!
