Who is Mr Wang Hongbin?
The (United States) Wang Foundation is a social welfare legal person organization established with the approval of the United States government and the assets donated by the late overseas Chinese living in the United States. Its purpose is to provide scholarships and sponsorship to culture, education and other fields with the proceeds of the Foundation, so as to promote the development of science, education and culture and promote social progress. In order to encourage young people in their hometown to study hard, serve the motherland and revitalize China, the King Foundation of the United States has successively established six awards in China, including Lei Dazhen Medical Education Scholarship, Wang Scholarship, Du Yuru Normal Education Scholarship, Wang Excellent Poor Student Scholarship, Lei Dazhen Teacher Award and Chang Da Wang Excellent Poor Scholarship.

Mr. Wang Hongbin went to Wan Li, his heart was attached to China, and he was enthusiastic about education in his hometown. 1990, in memory of his mother, Ms. Lei Dazhen, who died young, Mr. Wang established the Lei Dazhen Medical Education Scholarship in Jiangxi College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and later the Wang Scholarship in Nanchang University. In order to consolidate and develop this public welfare undertaking beneficial to the education of the motherland, Mr. Wang donated assets worth 750,000 US dollars on 1993 to set up the King Foundation in the United States. Later, in memory of Mr. Wang Hongbin's mother-in-law, Mr. Wang Hongbin established the Du Yuru Normal Education Scholarship in Jiangxi Normal University. 1998 Jiangxi Agricultural College established Wang Excellent Scholarship for Poor Students.

Mr. Wang Hongbin's ancestral home was in Shandong, and 1927 was born in Nanchang. He graduated from Jiangxi Institute of Technology in the 1940s. After that, he went to the United States for further study, graduated from Stanford University and worked in water conservancy in the United States. Established Wang Industrial Investment Company in Oregon and served as the chairman. Due to overwork, Mr. Wang died in Portland, USA on February 6th. 1994.

Mr. Wang, the current chairman of the Wang Foundation, is Mr. Wang's eldest son. Mr. Wang Dexian was born in Taiwan Province Province on 1964, and graduated from Yale University on 1990 with a doctorate in law. He is currently a lawyer of the San Francisco Bay Area Civil Rights Lawyers Committee. 1996 and 2006 came to Nanchang twice to inspect the scholarship work and give an academic speech at Nanchang University. He said that he would continue to support various scholarships, making Wang Foundation a model for other American foundations to carry out funding activities in China (especially Jiangxi) and benefit the society.

Wang Foundation has established scholarships in 30 schools in China. Since 2005, in order to standardize scholarship management, on the basis of further increasing the amount of scholarships, Wang Foundation has distributed more than 350 scholarships to 12 schools. The scholarship standard is set at 2000 yuan for graduate students and undergraduates (2000 yuan for outstanding poor students); Middle school students 1200 yuan; Pupils 300-500 yuan; Primary school teachers 1000 yuan.

Every September, students with good grades and good conduct in relevant schools can submit written applications, which will be selected by the school according to the selection regulations, and an award ceremony will be held at the end of each year 1 1 month to issue scholarships and award certificates.

Scholarships of Wang Foundation are selected according to the principles of fairness, openness, justice and merit.
