Since 1994, he has been mainly engaged in the systematics and zoogeography research of arachnids, and has successively participated in the key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation, such as soil fauna research in typical areas of China, zoogeography research in China, species diversity research of terrestrial insects and invertebrates in the Three Gorges reservoir area, investigation and evaluation of biological resources in key areas of China, flora, distribution law and evolution mechanism of 100,000 mountains in Guangxi, and China Academy of Sciences. A comprehensive and systematic taxonomic and zoogeographical study was made on the genus Taraxacidae and Arachnoidea in China. There are 34 new species, 4 new record genera, 18 new record species, 2 new discoveries of parthenocarpy, 2 new combination genera and 1 new combination species in Araneae and Acari. Some families and genera have been revised worldwide or nationwide, and some morphological features are described for the first time.
