What is a grant?
Grants are financial support for qualified students to pay tuition fees.

According to Article 3 of the Interim Measures for the Administration of State Grants for Ordinary Senior High Schools, the recipients of State Grants for Ordinary Senior High Schools are students with financial difficulties in their families.

Article 4 State grants for ordinary high schools account for about 20% of the total number of ordinary high school students in China. The Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Education comprehensively determine the coverage of funds in each province according to factors such as students' situation and average living expenses. Among them, the eastern region 10%, the central region 20% and the western region 30%. According to the actual situation, all localities can appropriately tilt to rural areas, poverty-stricken areas and ethnic minority areas when determining the funded areas.

Other provisions on grants.

Article 10 of the Interim Measures for the Administration of State Grants in Ordinary Senior High Schools shall accept students' applications before September 30 every year in accordance with the principles of openness, fairness and impartiality;

Organize an evaluation team composed of school leaders, class teachers and student representatives to carefully evaluate the Application Form for National Scholarships in Ordinary Senior High Schools and related materials submitted by students, and publicize it in the school for not less than 5 working days. After publicity without objection, state grants can be issued. Every year before 165438+ 10/0/5, ordinary high schools will report the implementation of the national bursary policy in that year to the education and finance departments at the same level for the record.
