Legal analysis: the legal supervision of charitable organizations can generally be divided into two modes: self-discipline and heteronomy. Self-discipline means that charitable organizations use their internal articles of association and regulatory agencies to conduct self-supervision. Heteronomy refers to the supervision of the competent units of charitable organizations and public opinion.

Legal basis: Article 92 of the Charity Law of the People's Republic of China. The civil affairs departments of the people's governments at or above the county level shall perform their duties according to law, supervise and inspect charitable activities, and guide charitable organizations.
