There are two ways to make raid 1 * * *:

2 Enter the BIOS configuration of the array card, as shown below:

Ctrl+c prompt appears during POST. Press ctrl+c to enter the LSI Logic configuration utility.

1. Enter the following menu on SAS 1064E.

RAID Properties: Creating and Managing Arrays

SAS topology: View physical disk and RAID configuration information.

Advanced adapter properties: View advanced properties and restore their default values (this operation will not delete raid).

2. Select the RAID attribute and three options will appear (if RAID is configured, four options will appear, please skip to "Other operating instructions 1"):

Create an IM volume: create an integrated RAID 1, that is, two disk images and a 1 hot spare.

Create IME Volume: Create an integrated RAID 1E with 3 to 8 disks, including 1 hot spare.

Create IS volume: Create integrated striping, that is, striping of 2 to 8 disks.

3. Select "Create IM Volume" and the following "Create New Array -SAS 1064e" menu will appear:

Move the cursor to the first disk, and under raid disk [No] (No before configuring RAID), press the space bar/minus sign to pop up the menu:

M Keep the data and migrate to the newly created RAID 1.

Delete the data and create a new RAID 1.

Select M, and then return to the superior menu, and the RAID disk status will change to Yes.

4. Then move the cursor to the second disk under RAID disk [NO], and press spacebar/minus sign to change its RAID disk status to Yes.

5. press the c key to create an array.

6. Select Save Changes and exit this menu. Exit the configuration of RAID 1, and synchronization will start automatically in the background.

Steps for RAID0:

If you need to configure RAID0, you can select Create IS Volume in step 2, and the other steps are the same as RAID 1.

Other operating instructions:

1. After configuring RAID, one more line will be selected when entering RAID properties: View existing arrays-Manage arrays (synchronization progress can be seen here).

Manage Hot Spares: Configure Hot Spares.

Synchronize array (y: start synchronization, n: abandon synchronization)

Activate array: Activate array.

Delete array: Delete array.
