Luo is a famous contemporary ethicist, philosopher and educator in China, an honorary first-class professor and doctoral supervisor at Renmin University of China, an honorary president of the Chinese Ethics Society, the founder of the new China ethics cause, and a pioneer in the China of Marxist ethics. He devoted himself to the study of ethics and put forward the moral theory under the condition of socialist market economy.

Luo Moral Education Foundation was established on June 5, 20 15. According to her last wish, Luo's wife donated the "Wu Lifetime Achievement Award in Humanities and Social Sciences" to the Education Foundation of Renmin University of China, and also received the financial support from the Institute of Moral Sciences of Renmin University of China.
