On October 27, 1986, the National Philosophy and Social Sciences Planning Group meeting passed the "Interim Regulations of the National Social Science Fund".

The National Philosophy and Social Sciences Work Office is the administrative agency of the National Philosophy and Social Sciences Work Leading Group.
