China Poverty Alleviation Fund

When 1989 was established in March, China Poverty Alleviation Fund was a foundation without funds. At that time, the staff of the foundation had no experience in poverty alleviation among the people. Through various contacts, the foundation strives to win the understanding and support of people from all walks of life at home and abroad for the cause of poverty alleviation, and mobilizes people from all walks of life to actively join the ranks of poverty alleviation.

1996- 1999 is the second stage of the development of China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation. At this stage, the foundation mainly adopted the working mode of poverty alleviation from household to household and development-oriented poverty alleviation, and implemented projects such as "self-reliance project for poor farmers", "poverty alleviation through science and technology" and "aid construction of educational and medical facilities".

From the second half of 1999, China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation entered the third development stage. This year is also the beginning of the second decade of the China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation. The working mode at this stage is to help the disadvantaged groups in poor communities to improve their production, living and health conditions and improve their quality and ability through project assistance and the participation of recipients, so as to get rid of poverty and become rich.
