Social work in Foshan is now in its infancy. As the first professional social work organization in Nanhai, we have the obligation to contribute to the development of social work. Although in the past year, we have launched services for teenagers and the elderly, let services enter communities and families, and constantly promote the service mode of social workers and volunteers, residents' understanding of social work is still not high, and departments at all levels still lack understanding of the content, methods and significance of social work professional services.
In the future central work, we will take it as our responsibility to strengthen the construction of social workers in Nanhai and even Foshan, develop social work, continue to adhere to the professional concept of social work, emancipate our minds, overcome difficulties and boldly explore according to the service procedures of social work, and actively try to train and publicize social work knowledge, develop social work posts and intervene in social work professional services, explore localized service models and accumulate experience that can be popularized.

The aging society calls for the intervention of professional services, and the elderly in pension institutions need the comfort of social workers. After evaluating the present situation of the elderly service in Nanhai and integrating the existing resources of the center, under the guidance of Foshan City and Nanhai District Civil Affairs Bureau, the center positioned the elderly service as an in-depth service of social work for the elderly.
The first is to carry out a pilot project to build a team of social workers in Guicheng Recreation Center for the Elderly. With the support of Guicheng Guan Ai Fund, the center will provide professional services in Guicheng Recreation Center for the Elderly. Including the establishment of social work department, the establishment of social work posts, the establishment of various rules and regulations for social work services, the creation of hospital social work culture, the construction of professional teams of employees, and the development of professional services for the elderly. Plan the Sunshine Motivated Student Support Program, win the support of Love Fund, and start the pilot project in two middle schools (one township and one city) in Guicheng. On the one hand, it studies the education and teaching mode of rural and urban schools and the behavior characteristics of teenagers, and provides professional counseling for teenagers in study, life and emotion with the help of professional methods, and explores different intervention modes of school social work services; On the other hand, the communication and cooperation modes among social workers, teachers and parents are discussed, and the intervention modes of social work are summarized. Through on-campus social work service, we will further promote school social work, care about the all-round development of teenagers, implement a whole-person plan to train teenagers, help young students face up to the current situation of life, tap their own potential, cultivate good interpersonal skills, promote their all-round healthy growth, become a member of Guicheng volunteers, and participate in the action of loving home and Guicheng.
(3) Strengthening the construction of social workers by means of training.
Accelerating the construction of local social workers and further promoting the localization of social work is another important work of the center this year.
