Since 1998, the Tang Zhongying Foundation (China) has successively established the "Tang Zhongying Moral Education Scholarship" in 19 well-known domestic institutions of higher learning and 1 region. The Tang Zhongying Moral Education Scholarship is the foundation’s earliest funding project in China, and it is also the first scholarship named after “moral education” in China.
Tang Zhongying was born in 1930 in Shengze Town, Wujiang District, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province. In order to avoid the war caused by Japan's invasion of China, he moved to Chongqing with his father when he was young, and later moved to Hong Kong. A well-known philanthropist, he funded the construction of the Nanjing National Laboratory of Microstructure at Nanjing University. The Tang Zhongying Foundation has established the "Tang Zhongying Moral Education Scholarship" in 18 domestic universities and 1 region including Nanjing University.
In order to ensure the openness, fairness and fairness of the scholarship review process, the foundation has specially formulated the "Tang Zhongying Foundation Moral Education Scholarship Charter" and implementation details for reference and implementation by all universities. The amount of the Tang Zhongying Moral Education Scholarship is RMB 4,000 per person per year. In principle, the award period is from enrollment to graduation. However, the awarded students must be re-evaluated in October every year. Only those who pass the evaluation can continue to receive scholarships in the next academic year.
