Where are Filipino students in China?
There are Filipino students in Fujian Normal University. Fujian Normal University maintains close and fruitful educational cooperation with the Philippines and other ASEAN countries. Fujian Normal University and Philippine Friendship Fund jointly established Soledad College of Fujian Normal University in 20 18, and officially enrolled students in 20 19. Soledad College is named after Soledad Roya Duterte, the mother of Philippine President Duterte. Soledad is a Filipino educator and social activist who has won awards from many institutions in the Philippines and around the world. There is a close educational exchange between China and the Philippines. The Confucius Institute, jointly organized by Fujian Normal University and Hongxi Lishi University in the Philippines, undertakes the tasks of Chinese curriculum construction, Chinese teacher training and Chinese textbook compilation in public middle schools of the Ministry of Education of the Philippines. It also teaches Chinese courses for civil servants of the Information Department of the Philippine Presidential Office and its affiliated institutions.
