Overview of Zhang Jian's work
Professor Zhang Jian's research fields are mathematical physics and partial differential equations. He presided over 5 national natural science foundation projects, 9 provincial and ministerial projects and 3 international cooperation projects. Focus on nonlinear Schrodinger equation? Based on Bose-Einstein condensation and quantum mechanics? The Dinger equation and related nonlinear wave systems are studied. He first put forward the "cross-forced variational method" and established a criterion for the stability of attractive Bose-Einstein condensation. The research path and framework of describing various nonlinear wave equations with potential by variational characteristics of classical quantity field equations are also proposed for the first time. The main achievements have been published in Mathematical Physics Communication, Partial Differential Equation Communication and Siam Journal of Mathematical Analysis, and more than 200 papers have been published in mainstream magazines such as Journal of Functional Analysis, Journal of Statistical Physics and China Science. Papers cited in SCI journals have been searched for more than 630 times, including more than 450 citations by SCI, including many citations by internationally renowned scholars Kenig and Merle (International Congress of Mathematicians 1 hour reporter) and Academician Guo Bailing. He has been invited to give special reports at international academic conferences for many times, and has been invited to do academic research and visit in many universities in the United States, Australia, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong and other places. He has served as director of Chinese Mathematical Society, vice chairman of Sichuan Mathematical Society, member of the Standing Committee of Sichuan Youth Federation and Sichuan Science and Technology Association, and executive director of Sichuan System Engineering Society.

After returning to China in 2000, Professor Zhang Jian established an international basic research team in the western region and trained a group of young talents engaged in basic research and higher education in the western region. In the past ten years, the team has been supported by more than 20 national natural science funds. The team led by Professor Zhang Jian won the second prize and the third prize 1 item of provincial scientific and technological progress; Won 2 first prizes, 3 second prizes and 2 third prizes for provincial teaching achievements; Hosting a national excellent course.
