Article 1 The name of the Society is chinese geophysical society (hereinafter referred to as the Society) and the English translation is chinese geophysical society (hereinafter referred to as CGS).
Article 2 This Association is a public welfare scientific and technological academic legal person social group voluntarily organized by geophysical scientists and technicians in China and registered according to law. It is the link between the party and the government and an important social force for the development of geophysical science. The association has the characteristics of interdisciplinary, cross-industry and cross-departmental horizontal connection.
Article 3 The purpose of this association is to implement the policy of reform and opening up, invigorate, let a hundred flowers blossom, let a hundred schools of thought contend, run the association democratically, adhere to the scientific attitude of seeking truth from facts, carry forward academic democracy and establish a good style of study. The purpose is to advocate the fashion of respecting truth, knowledge and talents, advocate the spirit of professionalism, innovation, seeking truth from facts and cooperation, abide by the national constitution, laws, regulations and national policies, and abide by social morality. Unite and organize Chinese geophysicists to actively carry out academic activities at home and abroad, promote the development of geophysics, produce results and talents, and serve the national construction.
Article 4 The competent business unit of this Association is the China Association for Science and Technology, and the competent registration authority is the Ministry of Civil Affairs. Accept the support of relevant departments and units.
Article 5 The office of the Association is located at No.5, Minzu College South Road, Haidian District, Beijing, Institute of Geophysics, Seismological Bureau of China (postal code 10008 1).
Chapter II Scope of Business
Article 6 The business scope of this Association is as follows:
(a) to strengthen the contact and unity of domestic geophysicists, strengthen the friendly contact with foreign geophysical scientific and technological groups and individuals, actively carry out academic exchanges at home and abroad, organize academic discussions and scientific investigations, activate academic ideas, exchange work experience, promote interdisciplinary infiltration, improve academic level, and promote the development of this discipline.
(2) according to the needs of the development of national economy, society and geophysics, organize relevant experts in this discipline to put forward positive suggestions or decision-making opinions on major issues such as national economic construction and scientific and technological development strategies and policies, and strive to play the role of this discipline in national economic construction and discipline development.
(3) Editing and publishing geophysical magazines, periodicals, journals, annual journals and other academic books, periodicals and audio-visual products. Use various forms to promote scientific and technological progress, promote knowledge renewal, improve the academic level of members, and help members explore a wider range of activities.

Article 7 Members of this Association include individual members (including members, senior members, foreign members and honorary members) and group members.
Chapter III Members
Article 8 A member who applies to join the society must meet the following conditions: anyone who is engaged in geophysics and related professional work, recognizes and supports the constitution of the society, has the will to join the society and meets the membership conditions may apply for membership.
(1) Members:
1. Scientific and technical personnel with technical titles equivalent to engineers, lecturers and assistant researchers;
2. Master degree or above;
3 engaged in geophysical science and technology for more than three years, with a certain academic level and independent work ability of college graduates; Or the undergraduate has not graduated, but has the academic level and work experience stipulated in this article;
4. Leading cadres and management workers who are enthusiastic and support the work of the Society.
(2) Senior members: scientific and technical personnel with doctoral degrees or senior titles who have certain influence in their own business (industry or discipline).
(3) Foreign members: Foreign geophysicists who are friendly to China, have high academic prestige and are willing to exchange and cooperate with related majors of the Association, and become foreign members of the Association after applying for approval and reporting to the Association for Science and Technology for the record.
(4) Group members: scientific research, teaching, production and other units related to geophysics, with a certain number of scientific and technological personnel, and willing to participate in relevant activities and support the work of the Society, as well as academic social groups registered according to law, can apply to become members of the Society.
Article 9 The procedures for joining the club are as follows:
(1) Individual members need to apply in person, which will be introduced by our members and approved by our association and local associations authorized by our association.
(two) foreign members need to apply in person, and after being introduced by more than two members of the Institute, they shall be approved by the Standing Council.
(3) A group member shall submit a written application by the joining unit, which shall be approved by the Standing Council of the Society.
Article 10 Rights and obligations of members:
(1) Members and Senior Members:
L have the right to vote, be elected and vote in the association;
2. Have the right to criticize, suggest and supervise the work of this Association;
3. Participate in relevant activities of the Association;
4. Give priority to the use of publications and academic materials of the Institute;
5. Freedom of voluntary participation and withdrawal;
6. Abide by the articles of association and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of the association;
7. Implement the resolutions of the Association, be enthusiastic about the work of the Association, and actively complete the tasks entrusted by the Association;
8. Pay membership dues according to regulations;
9. Actively write academic papers, reports and popular science works; Put forward suggestions on social development and national construction;
10. Recommend and introduce new members.
(2) Foreign members:
1. Invited to attend the academic conference organized by our association; Can be invited to participate in international academic conferences organized by the society;
2. Priority or free access to publications and related academic materials published by the Association;
3. Pay membership dues according to regulations;
4. Support the work of the Society, communicate information, complete the tasks entrusted by the Society, assist the Society to carry out international academic activities, and recommend experts to give lectures in China.
(3) Group members
1. Have the right to suggest and criticize the work of this association;
2. Send representatives to participate in relevant scientific and technological activities of the Association;
3 for the technical problems of the unit, give priority to the relevant information and information of the association; Do not hold scientific and technological consultation and training courses;
4. Abide by the articles of association of this Association;
5. Implement the resolutions of this Association and actively complete the work entrusted by the Society.
6. Pay membership dues according to regulations;
7. If a group member fails to pay the membership fee within one year without justifiable reasons, those who have not paid the membership fee after being prompted will automatically quit.
Article 11 Members, senior members, foreign members and group members shall notify the Association in writing and return their membership cards. If a member fails to pay the membership fee or participate in the activities of the association for one year, and still fails to pay after being prompted, it will be regarded as automatic withdrawal. If a member seriously violates the articles of association, he shall be removed from the membership by voting of the Council or the Standing Council.
Article 12 Honorary title:
(1) A comrade who has made a significant contribution to the establishment, construction and reform of the Geophysical Society and holds the post of director or above of the Society, but cannot continue to lead the Society due to his advanced age, may be awarded the title of honorary director for life upon nomination by the Standing Council and approval by the Council or the members' congress, and be awarded a certificate. Honorary directors can participate in the corresponding activities of the community and continue to exert their residual heat.
(II) Foreign experts and scholars who have made important contributions to the development of geophysics, have high prestige, and are enthusiastic to participate in and organize geophysical scientific and technological exchanges may be awarded the title of honorary member after discussion and nomination by the Standing Committee and approval by the members' council or members' congress, and be awarded certificates and reported to China Association for Science and Technology for the record.
(3) Members who have made significant contributions to geophysical science and technology and the Society may be awarded the title of honorary member upon the recommendation of the Standing Council and the adoption of the Council of the Society or the National Congress of the members.
Chapter IV Establishment and Cancellation of Institutions and Responsible Persons
Article 13 The highest authority of this Association is the National Congress of Members (or the National Congress of Members). The functions and powers of the National Assembly (or National Congress) are:
(a) to formulate and amend the articles of association;
(2) To elect and recall the Council;
(three) to consider the work report and financial report of the Council;
(4) Deciding to terminate.
(5) Deciding on other major matters.
Article 14 In principle, a national general meeting (or member representative meeting) can only be held when more than two thirds of the members (or member representatives) are present, and its resolutions can only take effect when more than half of the members are present to vote.
Article 15 The National General Meeting of Members (or the National Congress of Members) is held every four years. Due to special circumstances, it is necessary to advance or postpone the general election, which should be decided by the Council and reported to the competent business unit and the association registration authority for approval. The longest extension of the term of office shall not exceed l years.
Article 16 The Council is the executive body of the National Congress (or National Congress), leading the daily work of the Institute when it is not in session and being responsible to the National Congress (or National Congress).
Article 17 The functions and powers of the Council are:
(a) to implement the resolutions of the National Congress (or National Congress);
(two) to elect and recall the chairman, vice chairman and secretary general;
(3) Preparing to convene a national congress (or a national congress);
(four) to report the work and financial situation to the National General Assembly (or National Congress);
(five) to decide to absorb and recall members;
(six) decided to set up offices, branches and agencies;
(seven) to decide the appointment and removal of the Deputy Secretary General and the principal responsible persons of various institutions;
(eight) to lead the institutions of this society to carry out their work;
(nine) to formulate internal management system;
(10) Raising funds for community activities (establishing community funds according to law);
(eleven) to decide on other major issues.
Article 18 In principle, the board of directors can only be convened when more than two thirds of the directors are present, and its resolutions can only take effect when more than two thirds of the managing directors present vote.
Article 19 The Council shall meet at least once a year; Under special circumstances, it can also be held by means of communication.
Article 20 The Standing Council of the Association shall be elected by the Council. The executive director may be re-elected, but the re-election shall not exceed two terms. When the Legislative Council is not in session, the Legislative Council exercises the functions and powers mentioned in Article 17 (1), (3), (5) and (1 1), and is accountable to the Legislative Council.
Article 21 In principle, the Standing Council shall be convened only when more than 65,438+0/2 of the standing directors are present, and its resolutions shall take effect only when more than two thirds of the standing directors are present to vote.
Article 22 The Standing Council shall convene a meeting at least once every six months; Special circumstances can also be held in the form of communication.
Article 23 The chairman, vice-chairman and secretary-general of this Association must meet the following conditions:
(a) adhere to the party's line, principles and policies, good political quality;
(2) It has great influence in the business field of the Association;
(three) the chairman, vice chairman and secretary general of the highest age shall not exceed 70 years old. The Secretary-General must have enough time and energy to engage in the work of the Institute;
(4) Being in good health, being able to adhere to normal work and having a democratic organization style;
(5) Having not been subjected to criminal punishment of deprivation of political rights.
(6) Having full capacity for civil conduct.
Article 24 The chairman, vice-chairman and secretary-general of the Association shall be approved by the Council, reported to the competent business unit for review and approved by the registration authority of the Association before taking up their posts.
Article 25 The term of office of the chairman, vice-chairman and secretary-general of this Association shall not exceed two terms. In case of special disasters, more than two-thirds of the members or members' representatives of the National General Assembly (or the National Congress of Members) shall vote for approval, report to the competent business unit for examination and approval, and then take up their posts.
Article 26 The chairman of this Association is the legal representative of this Association, and does not concurrently serve as the legal representative of other organizations.
Article 27 The chairman of this Association shall exercise the following functions and powers:
(a) to convene and preside over the National General Assembly (or National Congress) and the Council (or the Standing Council);
(two) to check the implementation of the resolutions of the National General Assembly (or the National Congress) and the Council (or the Standing Council);
(3) Signing relevant important documents on behalf of the Association;
Article 28 The Secretary-General of this Association shall exercise the following functions and powers:
(a) to preside over the daily work of the office and organize the implementation of the annual work plan;
(2) Coordinating the work of branches and agencies;
(3) Nominating deputy secretaries-general and heads of offices, branches and agencies, and submitting them to the Council or the Standing Council for decision;
(four) to decide on the employment of full-time staff of organs, branches and agencies;
(5) Handle other daily affairs.
Article 29 The secretariat of this Exchange is the office responsible for handling the daily affairs of this Exchange under the leadership of the Council (Standing Council). The work of the Secretariat is led by the Secretary-General, and the Secretariat includes the Secretary-General, Deputy Secretaries-General and full-time and part-time staff of various departments and offices. The staff of the institutions affiliated to the hospital all adopt the appointment system.
Thirtieth according to the development of geophysics and the need to carry out academic activities, set up a professional committee as an independent academic institution under the leadership of the Council, responsible for and independently carry out academic activities in various professions or disciplines. According to the needs of discipline development, the increase or decrease of professional committees is decided by the Council. Members of professional committees are nominated by the Standing Council of the previous Committee and appointed for the record with the consent of the Standing Council of the Society. Members should try their best to attract board members. When the number of professional committees is 1-20, there may be 5-9 standing committees; When the number of members is more than 20, there shall be a Standing Committee of 7- 1 1, which shall be elected by a professional committee (including communication election). Executive director 1, deputy director 1-3, recommended by the executive director and appointed with the consent of the Council of the Institute. The Secretary-General is L, nominated by the director and reported to the Council for the record. In order to facilitate the work, the professional committee may invite scientific research, production and teaching units with similar majors as supporting units.
Article 31 the association shall set up a number of working committees according to the needs of work. The duty of the Working Committee is to assist the Council in coordinating relevant professional work and making suggestions. The chairman of the working committee shall be nominated by the chairman and appointed by the Council through discussion; Its members are nominated by the director and appointed with the consent of the Council. Each working committee shall have 1 secretary, who shall be nominated by the director and reported to the Standing Council for the record.
Article 32 Geophysical societies of provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) are under the operational guidance of this society.
Article 33 Due to the needs of industrial activities, with the approval of the competent business unit and the registration authority, and with the permission of the host country, foreign branches may be established to conduct business transactions.
Thirty-fourth enterprises and institutions with more than five members can set up a member group, which is the grass-roots organization of this cooperative and is responsible for the activities of this cooperative and the management of its members. The member group is led by this association and local associations. The membership group has 1 members, and more members can add 1-2 deputy heads. The leader and deputy leader are elected by members and reported to the society and local society for the record.
Chapter V Principles of Asset Management and Use
Thirty-fifth sources of funds of the Association:

(4) Income from activities or services provided within the approved business scope;
(5) Funds established by the Institute and funds raised;
(6) interest;
7) Other lawful income.
Article 36 The funds of this Association must be used for the business scope and career development stipulated in the articles of association, and this Association shall be equipped with accountants with professional qualifications. Establish a strict financial management system to ensure that accounting information is legal, true, accurate and complete.
Article 37 The accountant of this Association shall not concurrently serve as cashier. Accountants must conduct accounting and exercise accounting supervision. When an accountant transfers his job or leaves his post, he must go through the handover procedures with the recipient.
Article 38 The asset management of this Association must implement the relevant national financial management system and accept the supervision of the National General Assembly (or Congress) and the financial department. If the source of assets belongs to state appropriations or social donations or subsidies, it must accept the supervision of audit institutions and publicize the relevant information to the public in an appropriate way. The assets of the Association are public assets, and no unit or individual may occupy, privately divide or misappropriate them.
Article 39 Before changing its members or changing its legal representative, an association must accept the financial audit organized by the registration authority and the competent business unit of the association.
Fortieth the special fund established by this Association shall be audited annually by the audit institution designated by the registration authority of this Association.
Chapter VI Procedures for Amending the Articles of Association
Article 41 The amendment of the articles of association shall be submitted to the National General Assembly (or National Congress) for deliberation after it is approved by the Council.
Article 42 The revised articles of association of this Association shall come into effect within 15 days after being adopted by the National General Assembly (or the General Assembly of Members), agreed by the competent business unit and approved by the registration authority of this Association.
Chapter VII Termination Procedure and Property Disposal after Termination
Article 43 If an association is dissolved or needs to be revoked due to division or merger, the Council or the Standing Council shall propose a termination motion.
Article 44 The motion to terminate this Association shall be voted by the National General Assembly (or the National Congress of Members' Representatives) and submitted to the competent business unit for examination and approval.
Forty-fifth before the termination of this association, a liquidation organization shall be established under the guidance of the competent business department and relevant authorities to clean up the creditor's rights and debts and deal with the aftermath. During the liquidation period, no activities other than liquidation will be carried out.
Article 46 this association shall be terminated after the cancellation of registration by the association registration authority.
Forty-seventh after the termination of the remaining property, under the supervision of the competent department of business and the registration authority, in accordance with the relevant provisions of the state, for the development of undertakings related to this purpose.
Chapter VIII Supplementary Provisions
Article 48 The Articles of Association of this Association (1998 10) was adopted by the National Congress of Members on1October 26th.
Article 49 The right to interpret the Articles of Association belongs to the Council of the Association.
Article 50 The Articles of Association shall come into force as of the date of approval by the association registration authority.
