Introduction to the process of studying in the United States under public sponsorship

The process of studying in the United States at public expense: 1. Any Chinese citizen who meets the application conditions stipulated in this brochure can apply for the National Study Abroad Fund to study abroad in accordance with the prescribed procedures and methods.

2. Applicants should submit the following application materials (see Appendix 5 for details): (1) "Application Form for Study Abroad by the China Scholarship Council" (hereinafter referred to as the "Application Form"); (2) The application form issued by the unit where the applicant works is the responsibility of the unit.

"Unit Recommendation Form" issued by the authorized person and stamped with the official seal of the unit; (3) Two recommendation letters (fixed format) issued and signed by experts and scholars with senior professional and technical positions (professional titles); (4) Work resume;

(5) Copy of award certificate; (6) Copy of invitation letter from foreign unit (if applicable); (7) Copy of ID card, professional title certificate, academic qualifications, and degree certificate; (8) Copy of foreign language proficiency certificate;

(9) Original physical examination form; (10) Other materials required to be submitted in the application conditions, such as relevant materials that should be submitted by those applying for senior research scholars, etc.; (11) "Study Abroad Expert Evaluation Form"; (12) "CSC

Applicant Information List", etc., please download it from the National Study Abroad Network (all forms are in WORD format) and fill it out as required (for details, please see Appendix 5 "Instructions on Preparing Application Materials for Study Abroad Funded by the National Study Abroad Fund").

Applicants must submit six copies of application materials (one original and five copies) to the accepting agency for verification.

When submitting materials, registration fees and review fees totaling RMB 500 per person must be paid as required.

3. For the convenience of applicants, the application materials will be accepted by the relevant national study abroad fund application acceptance agency (hereinafter referred to as the "acceptance agency") entrusted by the China Scholarship Council.

The accepting agency accepts consultation and conducts preliminary review and other matters.

4. Except for relevant scholarship projects (i.e. "non-general application projects"), the China Scholarship Council does not directly accept individual applications. All application materials must be submitted through the relevant National Study Fund application acceptance agency.

5. Starting from January 5, 2004, each acceptance agency will provide relevant consultation and accept applications.

The deadline for accepting applications is March 10, 2004.

6. All relevant units should, based on the actual needs of the unit’s talent training, organize their personnel in a planned manner to apply for the National Study Abroad Fund to study abroad, and strictly review the application materials.

Conditions for studying in the United States at public expense: 1. Political conditions: Love the motherland, love the Communist Party of China, love socialism, have good ideological and moral character, outstanding performance in practical work and study, and actively serve the socialist modernization drive.

2. Business conditions (1) Senior visiting scholars, mainly academic leaders or technical backbones of key disciplines, key laboratories, key scientific research projects in colleges and universities, scientific research institutes (institutes) and large and medium-sized backbone enterprises, and included in the leader echelon

Reserve personnel; or personnel who are currently involved in national, departmental, or local key scientific and technological research, key disciplines, key laboratory construction, and key engineering project construction, and who really need to conduct high-level research abroad.

Applicants must have senior professional and technical titles, of which those with full senior professional and technical titles must be no more than 55 years old, and those with deputy senior professional and technical titles must be no more than 45 years old.

Applicants should have considerable academic, scientific research, technology and other achievements, or have made outstanding achievements in teaching, scientific research, management and production construction (such as recently winning provincial or ministerial level scientific research and technology achievement awards, outstanding scientific research technology

Those who have achieved outstanding achievements and high-level monographs, or published academic papers with great influence in first-level domestic and foreign journals, or have made major scientific and technological inventions, or have outstanding work performance in production management, etc.) will be given priority.

(2) Visiting Scholar Category 1: Applicants should be teaching, scientific research, and technical management personnel who have conducted in-depth research and achieved certain results in the subject field in which they are engaged, and have obtained a doctorate or senior professional and technical titles.

Applicants should generally be under 45 years old.

(3) Visiting Scholar Category 2: Applicants should be teaching, scientific research, technical management personnel who have made achievements in practical work and are really necessary to go abroad for training, as well as personnel engaged in general language learning, regional issues or certain specific professional research.

Applicants should have a college degree or above and have been working for at least two years after graduation.

Age should generally be under 45 years old.

3. Foreign language requirements Applicants for the above types of publicly funded study abroad should be able to master the language of the corresponding country, be able to read professional books and periodicals in foreign languages ??relatively proficiently, and have certain listening, speaking and writing abilities.
