"Gome" refers to China Academy of Fine Arts. China Academy of Fine Arts, founded by the people of China, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Culture and the People's Government of Zhejiang Province, is one of the first national "double first-class" world-class discipline construction universities and the first key construction universities in Zhejiang Province. Gome is located at No.218 Nanshan Road, Shangcheng District, Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. Founded in 1928, it was then called the National Academy of Arts.

1929, renamed as National Hangzhou Art Institute; 1938, changed to National Art Institute. 1950, becoming East China Branch of Central Academy of Fine Arts; 1958, renamed Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts; 1993, renamed China Academy of Fine Arts. Before 2000, it was managed by the Ministry of Culture. In 2000, it became a university jointly established by provincial departments.
