The Management Science Department of the National Natural Science Foundation of China has carried out the performance evaluation of completed projects for 20 consecutive years, and evaluated the quality and level of projects completed by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, which has been fully affirmed and highly valued by management scientists and strongly supported by national management scientists. This work has been standardized and institutionalized. Interim Measures for Performance Evaluation of Projects Funded by the Ministry of Management Science was officially published on the website of the Ministry of Management Science in 2002. Since 2003, the management department has published the performance evaluation results of all completed projects online every year.

In 2020, a total of 24 projects participated in the post-evaluation work by the National Self-funded Fund Management Science Department, of which 10 was rated as "excellent", with an excellent rate of 4 1.7% and an excellent rate of 58.3%, all exceeding the qualified level, which fully reflected the effectiveness of our school in grasping the national project declaration and the research quality of national projects. According to the relevant evaluation rules of the Fund Committee, the project leader who is rated as "excellent" applies for the project again, and will be given priority in funding under the same circumstances.
