The Great Survey of Good Life in China is a report released by the Institute of Sociology of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in June 20 18. It is a large-scale survey on the happiness of urban residents in China, aiming at discussing the present situation, problems and trends of the quality of life and happiness of urban residents in China. The survey covers 29 provinces and cities in China, covering five subject areas: income and life, living environment, social life, personal mentality, culture and art. The Institute of Sociology of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences is a research institution under China Academy of Social Sciences. Founded in 1983, it is responsible for sociological theoretical research and sociological investigation. It is one of the national key think tanks.
