Crystal ball (demo)

Qu: Word:

The works in 1987 album [Arabian Dancer] are completely technical rock, and such works can only appear in the early BEYOND album. This DEMO was recorded in BEYOND's room by live broadcast, which is more meaningful.

Secret police (demonstration)

Qu: Word:

It is a work of the same period as the above crystal ball. Because there are too many works by Ka Kui, they are not included in the same album. The lyrics were not finished when recording the DEMO, but Ka Kui just sang "I'm in love, secret police, hold me tight" on the chorus at will.

Lonely kiss

Qu: Word:

It's an audition version of the studio. Although the lyrics have been completed, only the chorus of the original audition version was retained when it was officially published, and the rest were obviously modified.

A long road without friends

Qu:, the word:

Guangdong version, adapted from the English original "Long Road Without Friends", was still recorded with "Long Road" as the working title, and the keys of this version have not been completed yet.

Guitar improvisation (live)

This is an unforgettable passage in 1988 BEYOND's special performance in the university auditorium. It was first played by Paul and then entered by jam in 49 seconds.

Heaven (live)

Qu: word: Huang

In fact, there are many works by Jia Ju and Jia Qiang, but this is the only chorus. This is the live recording of 1988 in a disco in Shenzhen.

Europe (demo)

Song: Paul Wong.

It is the first audition tape of "Braving the New World", and its creative style is very close to that of a band called Europe at that time, so it was named "Europe" by the way.

Song: Paul Wong.

It belonged to "Europe" for 88 years, but it was not selected for recording.

Song: Ka Kui Wong.

This 88-year-old work has never been published. After the creation, Jia Ju found it very suitable for Alan Tam's interpretation, so she named it Alan.

Composed at the same time as Allen, the musical style tried to blend into the popular boatmusic dance form at that time, but the effect was not satisfactory, so it was never considered for recording.

A Lonely Kiss (English Demonstration)

Qu: word: Huang

When I was planning to record beyond's first album, I considered recording three or four English songs and invited an Englishman in Hong Kong to fill in four English lyrics. When recording the demo, Jia Ju chose A Lonely Kiss to listen to English lyrics, so there was no original Cantonese version of A Lonely Kiss.

Past and present (demo)

Qu: word: Huang

It was written at the same time as The Arabian Dancer, and was completed as early as 1986. 1986 When recording "Forever Waiting" EP, considering that "Dance of the Past" and "Water Boy" would be the title songs, they were specially reserved as the title songs in the next album, but later the studio version replaced the original demo drums with drum sets, and the guitar playing was not as simple and direct as that in the demo. The rock atmosphere of the audition version is really better than that of the revised studio version.

Song: Ka Kui Wong.

The original song is "Innocent Trauma", and the lyrics are filled by fans. It is a live recording of 88 fans' performances.

Always attracted by you, fascinated by your careful nest

But everything about you is in my memory.

Sincerely hand over my sincere heart, I hope you kiss me every day.

It's all my wishful thinking that makes me lose myself.

I'm willing to sacrifice for you. My dreams are shattered.

A voice that confuses my eyes and stays in my mind.

You are still dreaming in your memory.

I know I will always remember when I cry in my heart.

Cold rainy night sequel (first edition demonstration)

Because the original motive of Ka Kui's creation is "Cold Rainy Night", it is named "Cold Rainy Night Sequel", which is the first audition tape for Ka Kui to play and sing.

Cold rainy night sequel (second edition demonstration)

Song: Ka Kui Wong.

Before BEYOND prepares to record a new record, it records the new work as a simple first edition audition tape, and then begins to enter the second stage of arrangement after selection. It was not until the lyrics were finished that Paul decided to lead the singer and marked the track "Forgive me today".

Among all BEYOND members, Ka Kui is the most creative, but this work comes from Rong Shi, which seldom composes music. It belongs to the creation of 88 years, and Rong Shi's own lead singer is even rarer.

However, due to the requirements of later TV series and movies, BEYOND needs a lot of rehearsal time to hold a personal concert in the Red Pavilion. Finally, I had to change the recording plan. As a result, the album Wandering 9 1 was released, and there was only one original planned song, Listening to Rock &; Roll "and this version of" U Two "sung by Ka Ju will not be seen until today.

However, due to Jia Qiang's unsatisfactory performance, Jia Ju was decided to be the lead singer during the official recording. Compared with Jia Qiang's version, the original drum set was replaced by a real drum in [Asia], which is the only recorded recording of Ka Kui playing flute. But when it was officially recorded, it was forced to give up using the flute played by Ka Kui and replace it with the keys.

The most precious part of this version of Demo is the violin played by Rong Shi, but unfortunately, Rong Shi gave up the inclusion because of his lack of confidence in album recording.
